4. God’s plan, made real for you, personally, so you can be in on God’s plan.

Ephesians 2:8, 9 “For by grace (God’s undeserved favor shown to you in Christ) are ye saved (rescued from sin’s penalty) through faith (believing and trusting what Christ did for you), and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God, not of works (good deeds or effort) lest (for fear of) any man should boast.”

God’s plan made real for you, personally, is by you realizing your sin keeps you out of his heaven and you wanting to turn to God away from your sin, by believing what Christ did for you through his death on the cross, his burial and resurrection. This is NOT you saying to God that you are going to be perfect, but it is saying your wrong doing is going to change with God’s help. This change is not to get you to heaven, but because you are sorry for your sin and you are trusting Christ to get you there. No amount of good deeds will get you to heaven. We do right because we are going to heaven… not to get there.

SAMPLE prayer for salvation:

"Dear God, I know I have done many things wrong. I am guilty of disobeying you. I believe Jesus died for me on the cross. Right now, I ask him to be my savior and I am sorry for my sin. I trust in your forgiveness and a home in heaven. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

The prayer for salvation helps you tell God what you would like him to do for you. God will always answer a prayer to trust Jesus as your Savior. Jesus does the saving, we do the trusting.

5. God wants you to be sure you are in on God’s plan and you know for sure Christ is your personal Savior. Look at this verse:

John 3:36 “He that believeth on the Son hath (has right now) everlasting life and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life (eternal) but the wrath of God abideth (remains) on him.”

God‘s plan for you is eternal life… Are you in on God’s plan?

SAMPLE prayer of re-dedication:

“Dear God, I know I have been distant from you. Forgive me of my sins. Help me to change. I dedicate myself, by faith, to turn to you from my sin. Help me do that which honors you. In Jesus’ name, Amen."

If you have made a decision today to trust Christ as your personal Savior or rededicated yourself to serving the Lord Jesus, please let me know.
