Wyebrook Missionary Baptist Church

Letter from Pastor Perry Stewart

May, 2017

Dear Family of Faith at Wyebrook,

It was a great day for us as a church on Easter Sunday. Not only were we allowed by the Lord to celebrate Resurrection Sunday but both morning services were well attended and everyone worked well together to get things done. Thank you to all you that worked in one way or another to make the breakfast possible. Thanks to all who helped out during Children’s Hour and Egg Hunt. The children loved it. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your day with family and friends.

Thanks to the men and women who showed up a couple of Saturday’s ago to help out during the workday. We got a lot done but we always have more to do. We will try to have another work day in the not too far future.

The after school Bible club finished up right before Easter. We had a good year. Thank you to all of you who helped this year on Thursday afternoons in the Bible club at Honey Brook Elementary Learning Center.

Our youth groups (Awana and Pro-Teens) will finish up the first Wednesday on May 3rd with the awards ceremony followed by refreshments in each club starting at 7:00 p.m. I hope you can come out and encourage our children and teens that special night.

Don’t forget about the month of May as our month of prayer. Check the bulletin and the tri-fold for the special times of prayer this month and don’t forget to get a partner or two to pray with and for!  Thursday, May 4 is the National Day of Prayer. We will have a special time of prayer at 11:00 a.m. and we will go out to lunch afterward at September Farm.

A lot is happening during the month of May, so check out the tri-fold paper in your bulletin this week for all the events, days and times.

Thankful for the Goodness of the Lord to each of us and still learning to be dependent upon the Master.

Pastor Perry

PS. We will have the Nottingham Four singing for us Sunday, May 7th at 11:00 a.m.
