Dear Precious Saints of Wyebrook,
My hope is you are all doing well spiritually and physically. My prayer for you comes from Colossians 1:9-12 “For this cause we also, since the day we heard it , do not cease to pray for you, and desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God: Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power unto all patience and long-suffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet (fit) partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.”
To break down this prayer as we pray for one another:
~ You might be filled with the knowledge of God’s will and wisdom with spiritual understanding
~ That you would walk (continue on) worthy pleasing the Lord as you walk
~ That God would help you to be fruitful in every good work you do for him
~ That you would increase in the knowledge of God (as we read and study his word)
~ Strengthened with all the might according to his glorious power (of the Holy Spirit) unto all patience and suffering long with an attitude of joy.
~ Giving thanks to God the Father who has made us (his children) fit partakers (through the Spirit of God) of the fellowship of the saints in God’s light
Why is this so important? As we move into May we are reminded of our need to pray for and with one another on a daily basis. Who might you pray with daily? Maybe there are a couple of folks you could pray with!
Different dates are mentioned to be involved in our month of prayer. Lord knows we all can use all the encouragement we can get! Amen? Amen!
We all can be doing something, as we pray for and with one another.
Dependent Upon the Master as we Pray through May,
Pastor Perry
