Dear Family of God in Christ,

Psalm 34:1 reminds us, I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continual be in my mouth. May we rejoice in the Lord’s goodness to us. We had a great Sunday last week! We were blessed with a good service, great attendance and Downin Lane quartet concert. What a blessing that was and everyone’s effort with the setup of all the food and the help to get things accomplished from the delicious pig roast provided by Chris and Kathy Stoltzfus and to everyone else that brought food (which was great and so much variety) as well as all the activities. Thanks Mike Trego for the hay rides and Adriel Peachey for picking up and taking back the barrel trains. When Kathy and I left the gym Sunday afternoon everything was picked up, cleaned up and we are good to go for Wednesday night AWANA and Teen group. It was great to see a bunch of visitors also. Some of the parents came from AWANA and I just appreciate everyone’s friendliness on this special day.

A special thank you for the outreach ministry at Harmony Days last Saturday by Skip Briggs and others who worked with Skip to hand out some 125 Church invitations to folks passing by. We saw some fruit of that with some new faces visiting on Round Up Sunday as well! Please pray as we see more opportunities to explore and reach out to others at other community events.

I mentioned this last Sunday that we are being blessed with more children and teens coming out on Wednesday night than we have had in the past five years and with that influx of children we are looking for more help. Can you be a part of meeting this immediate need? Many of the smaller children need your presence to help because their reading skills are limited. Please see me today or as soon as possible if you are interested in being a part of the answer to help out. Thank you ahead of time!

The after-school Bible Club at Honey Brook Elementary Learning Center will begin Thursday, October 17th 3:45 – 4:45 pm. I believe this is our seventh season for our outreach here at the school. If you have children who can be a part of this they probably will get a registration form from the school but you can pick one up off the back table underneath the bulletin board and give them out to children Kindergarten through fourth grade to be a part of this ministry. There is no cost. There will be a Bible story with songs and games and rewards as well! If you can help out by overseeing the children please let me know so we can include you as part of the staff. If your children or grandchildren go to another school they may have the same ministry, I know Twin Valley, Robeson and Coatesville does.

There is a whole lot happening. Please pray as it is a very busy time.
