Dear Blessed Believers at Wyebrook,
It’s very hard to believe that Christmas is around the corner. My, how time seems to fly, and it looks like it’s not slowing down! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving with whomever you celebrated with.
With the holidays upon us, may we remember the goodness of the Lord to us as we are instructed in Psalm 135:1 “O give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.” May we be reminded that is a command to us, and may we obey that command by sharing with others.
Our annual Thanksgiving Service last Sunday night, as always, was a real blessing to all (and all did give thanks) who were part of it.
Our Christmas program, put together by our Music Director, Dianne Messner, will feature our choir and our children on Sunday, December 17 at 11:00 a.m. is titled “Christmas Presence.” It will be a blessing to all who attend. This program has a variety of musical numbers and a few solos that will be uplifting as well. Sister Dianne is planning a preview of one of the songs very soon on a Sunday morning. There will be an important practice Saturday, December 16 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Think about whom you will invite on the 17th!
Sunday, December 3, 5:30 p.m. in the gym is our annual pot luck supper and Christmas Caroling event. If you can’t make the supper and would like to carol with us, we will be leaving at 6:30 p.m. from the gym and plan to meet back at the gym by 8:15 p.m. Please dress warm as this is an outside event. Bringing a flashlight too.
Please help us out on Saturday, December 2 at 9:00 a.m. to decorate the church. This task will not take long and we are usually done way before 12 noon. There might even be a donut waiting for you!
Though we have a few things planned, we have tried to leave things open because we know it is a very busy time of the year for everyone. Please mark your calendars as we want to do our best to honor our Lord.
