Dear Family of God at Wyebrook,
Thank the Lord that the snow and the ice were limited and we were able to have service Wednesday and Sunday. Though for most of us the cold weather is not our favorite it is part of God’s plan. I would venture to say we all run into “cold weather” spiritually, but that is what helps us get back on track and it sure can help us appreciate the warmth or blessings we receive when we have gone through a cold spell. God is good all the time and all the time God is good.
A special promise in John 14:16 warms my heart to know as Jesus said, And I will pray the Father, he shall give you another Comforter, (the Holy Spirit) that he may abide (remain) with you forever. It’s good news to know that the Holy Spirit is not going anywhere but he is with us forever!
Just a few reminders to you in regards to upcoming events.
The choir begins practicing again February 11th at 9:00 a.m. If you are interested in being a part of the choir, please see Dianne Messner.
On February 11 Jim Davis and City Gate will be with us for worship and our luncheon. Bring a little extra for lunch please.
Saturday, February 17 at 6:00 p.m. is our annual Sweetheart and Friends here in our gym catered by Moyer’s Catering. It will be a great night! Please sign up a.s.a.p. so we can include you and your guests.
Sunday, February 25 right after service is a Church wide meeting that all members and regular attendees are encouraged to attend. We will be discussing some very important matters.
I am blessed even in the cold.
Blessed and dependent upon the Master
