Dear Wyebrook Family,
As I write this, we are on the verge of the holiday season, a time that I pray we can reflect on the Lord’s blessings and most importantly the gift of His son. It’s a miracle and a wonder that even the world cannot deny. That Christ came to this earth, born of a virgin, lived a perfect life and died on the cross. Praise the Lord His plan did not end there, because He resurrected and sits on the throne on high, waiting to be with us again.
We look forward to the events of this special month with our church. The first two Sunday evening services will be dedicated to caroling. One evening will be spent going to members of our church that are not always able to get out. The other evening we look to use as an evangelizing opportunity to reach people who are not part of our church. The first Sunday evening (7th), we are looking to have a covered-dish supper before caroling. Come meet us at 5:30 for a hot meal, coffee, hot chocolate to fuel up before we spread some joyful noise.
The 21st of this month, we are looking forward to the Christmas Cantata by the choir. Dianne and the choir have been practicing for this event, and this is a wonderful opportunity to invite others to come and visit. We also are looking forward to having a special candlelight service that evening, in honor of the birth of our Savior.
Just a reminder for our Awana leaders and participants, we will not have Awana the last two Wednesdays of the year (24th and 31st). I pray that we can use this time to minister to our families, and encourage one another in the love that has been shared with us.
John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
In the Savior’s Love,
Pastor Kenneth Miller
