June, 2022

Dear Church Family of Wyebrook,

With great thanksgiving I would like to start this letter because of Kathy and I’s fifty years of marriage on the third of June. I have been blessed with a great mate. She has been found faithful to the Lord, me and this ministry as well. Kathy and I are as different as night and day but we have had the great privilege to be a great team as husband and wife here at Wyebrook. I tease about the contract running out at fifty but I would willingly sign up for another fifty! (I also know what the penalty would be if I didn’t! Amen? Amen.)

Another milestone I am thankful for is the thirty-three years I have been here, coming in 1989 as an associate pastor under Pastor Emeritus Eugene Murphy. It was a big step as I had been employed at the same job as a maintenance man on an estate for fifteen years in Southern Chester county near the King Ranch area. I remember moving up here and living on the church property for many years. When Brother Gene retired in 2001 the church voted me in as Senior Pastor.

God’s goodness to Kathy and I always amazes me when I look back and see his mercy and favor to us and our church. That favor is still upon us today! May we recognize that as we should and be careful to give God the glory. Only he is worthy of our praise! As we have had a good month of prayer in the month of May; may we continue to pray one for another and when possible one with another.

Please keep an eye on the events for June as we will be having the Needham’s here in concert on Sunday, June 12 at 11:00 a.m. I’m sure they will be a blessing to us.

Summer is a great time for all of us, may we remember our great Creator as we rejoice in the goodness he has made. Isaiah 40:28 Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of his understanding.

Amazed and dependent upon the Master

Pastor Perry
