Dear Saints of Wyebrook,

As many of you have already said, it is hard to believe that 2021 is almost behind us! Life is still going on in spite of all the things around us. And thank God his word has not changed and will not change! But maybe we need to change? Being more Christ like to other people in my attitude, maybe that is a change I need to make you may say, and rightly so. Maybe I need to change my Bible reading schedule? Could I change the amount of time I spend with God in prayer? Maybe there is an area of giving myself to the Lord and others I need to change? Some of these questions cause us to think about the reality of things we need to change and though the Lord will help us, it comes down to us as individuals making a decision and having the dedication to follow through with the change.

Change is a scary word sometimes because it means doing something different than what I have done in the past. I certainly am not here to make you feel guilty about the things you have or have not done, but maybe the Lord may prompt your heart about a specific matter you do need to change.

We know Malachi 3:6 reminds us, “I am the Lord, I change not”. I am glad in our ever-changing world he does not change. But when I keep my eyes on Jesus as we are told in 2 Corinthians 3:18, “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory unto glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” May I encourage you to be careful to keep your eyes on Jesus and as we behold his person and character, we are changed by his Spirit into more of what he wants us to be.

Changing and dependent upon the Master,
Pastor Perry
