Pastor's Corner

July, 2021

Dear Saints of Wyebrook Baptist Church,

Paul reminds us in Philippians 4:4 “Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say, Rejoice.” This command helps me to get started out right when I am thinking negative. There is much to rejoice about if we will look at the goodness of the Lord and his mercies that are everlasting! Thank the Lord for his goodness!

It is good to see new folks visiting with us and it is great when we see them return! My hope is as you visitors return, our congregation will someday be your home. We are thankful for your presence.

As our choir has grown (and thank you Sister Dianne Messner for your faithful leadership) it’s great to see our young people being a working part of things. And thank you adults that are a part of things as well. We are blessed with a group of gifted singers and soloists. Thank the Lord for all of you!

Please keep an eye on the events coming up this month of July. Sunday the 18th we are planning our annual picnic right after Church at West Nantmeal Township Pavilion on Route 82. Please plan to be with us as we are planning a pig roast. Thank you, Chris and Kathy Stoltzfus for making that happen! Your sides and desserts will make this the feast of the year!

We’re doing something different on Sunday evening, July 25th at 6:30 p.m. The Needham’s will be sharing a gospel concert with us and my hope is you will be able to attend but plan on bringing others with you! This family is one of the most talented groups we have to sing here at Wyebrook. This concert is free. We are also planning a time of fellowship afterward in the gym. That will be a real blessing also. Please put these events on your calendar!

May we continue to pray for and with one another. Blessings to you and your family!

Dependent upon the Master,

Pastor Perry
