Dear Family of Faith at Wyebrook,
May we say with the Psalmist: I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee. Psalm 138:1
When we put our heart into praising the Lord for his goodness it will cause us to remember what the Lord our God has done for us. May our attitudes be one of thanksgiving wherever we are in our spiritual walk with Christ.
Thanks to all who helped out with fellowship last Sunday night when the Needham’s shared their music with us. It was a great night and I know my heart was greatly encouraged. I am glad the Lord gives us a fresh drink of water, spiritually speaking, through servants like the Needham’s.
Thank you for your faithfulness in your giving as we have given more to our missionaries in the last month. After seeing our mission offering increase, we were able to make the commitment to all of our missionaries. We are now giving them $90.00 per month. Our list of missionaries we support can be found on a bookmark in the plastic display rack as you exit the front door. You could place the list in your Bible to remind yourself to pray for them by name!
As we are thinking about missions we may remind you about our Vacation Bible School beginning Sunday, August 8 – 12, 7-8:30 pm. This year’s theme is Learning to Be a Servant. This a wonderful opportunity for you to reach out to your neighborhood to invite children K-5. God could use you to not only get the children here but maybe the rest of the family too! Permission slips are available on the web site and here at church. Please help us invite the children! If you can help us with the evening’s activities, please sign up on the list under the bulletin board. We need helpers, (you will not be asked to teach) please help us to help them! Please pray for those working in VBS. These children are also the ones we will be inviting to AWANA in September. There will be some very cool prizes for the children as well in VBS.
